Nov 17, 2014 - A unit of PowerChina (SHA:601669) has won the bid to construct a 48.3-MW wind farm in China’s Jiangsu province, it said today.
The Chinese engineering and construction firm, also known as Power Construction Corp of China, said that subsidiary Shandong Electric Power Construction No.2 Co (SEPCO2) will be the one to build the plant under a contract from Chinese wind project developer CGN Wind Energy Ltd.
The wind park will be located in the city of Yancheng, Sheyang county. It will use 23 units of 2.1-MW turbines. The company did not disclose any further details around the project.
PowerChina's SEPCO2 unit specialises in the construction of various types of power plants as well as the provision of engineering services for large-scale industrial and civil buildings.
