Polysilicon prices decline to USD 29.88 per kg Nov 14-20

Nov 23, 2011 - The price of polysilicon went down to USD 29.88 (EUR 22.34) per kg in the week ended November 20 from USD 30.19 a week earlier, Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) reported.

Polysilicon is a raw material used in most types of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels. Its spot price has been falling for months. Last week's decline of 1% was slower than the plunge in the past few weeks.

According to BNEF, the prices of polysilicon have already dropped by 60% compared to last year.
