November 28 (Renewables Now) - Asset manager CEE Group has acquired the 16.8-MW Woelsickendorf wind project in Brandenburg, Germany, from renewable energy company PNE AG's (ETR:PNE3) wholly-owned unit WKN GmbH.

WKN is building the farm, consisting of four V150-4.2-MW turbines provided by Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems (CPH:VWS), and will hand it over on a turnkey basis. Construction of the facility began in April and is due to be done by the end of the year. PNE will manage the technical aspects of the wind farm after it goes online, it said on Wednesday.

CEE Group is part of Canada's Brookfield Asset Management Inc (TSE:BAM.A) and specialises in investments in renewable energy. It has previously bought three wind projects from PNE. The latest deal brings the company's total wind portfolio to 435 MW. It also has solar plants with a total capacity of around 315 MWp.
