Amsterdam-based solar developer Photon Energy NV (WSE:PEN) said it has grid-connected six photovoltaic (PV) parks totalling 8.5 MWp in the Hungarian town of Puspokladany.
These facilities are part of ten new projects that Photon developed in the Puspokladany area. Two solar parks of 2.8 MWp combined capacity were already connected in early October, while another two will be ready in November 2020.
The six plants have been hooked to the grid of E.ON Tiszantuli Aramhalozati Zrt. Their combined output is estimated at around 12.1 GWh of electricity per year.
Photon, through project companies, has six METAR licences, each entitling the solar parks to a feed-in tariff of HUF 33,360 (USD 105.9/EUR 91) per MWh, distributed between electricity sales on the energy spot market plus a contract-for-difference payment. The company expects the plants to generate EUR 1.1 million (USD 1.3m) in annual revenues.
With the new addition, Photon reached 46.3 MWp of installed capacity in Hungary and 71.9 MWp globally.
