Weekly renewables M&A round-up (May 16-20)
May 20, 2022 17:01 CESTNovember 16 (SeeNews) - German large-scale solar developer Phoenix Solar AG (ETR:PS4) said Tuesday that together with its partner Al Rokh it will build a 1.5 MWp photovoltaic (PV) array for Jordan Ahli Bank.
The Amman-based financial service provider will be one of the first among its local peers to take advantage of the Jordanian Power-Wheeling regulation under the country’s Renewable Energy regulatory framework. This will allow its branch offices to use solar energy generated in a remote location.
As part of the deal, Phoenix Solar will provide engineering, procurement, project management, operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the system.
The project partner, a member of the Millennium Energy Industries (MEI), will take on the actual construction, which will be under the technical supervision of Jordan Ahli Bank’s representative -- consulting firm E-Res Energy.
