Panda Green Energy's Q4 generation rises 56% to 549 GWh

January 12 (Renewables Now) - China's Panda Green Energy Group Ltd (HKG:0686) said yesterday its portfolio generated 548,803 MWh in the fourth quarter of 2017, up from 351,989 MWh in the same quarter of 2016.

As at the end of 2017 the company's portfolio includes 64 solar power plants and one wind farm with a combined capacity of nearly 2.1 GW. The figure includes around 1.7 GW of capacity owned by the company and 422 MW held by associates and joint ventures. The capacity is located in China, except for 82.4 MW of systems in the UK.

In the whole 2017, the portfolio generated 2,107,411 MWh.

In the final quarter of the year, the company, previously United PV, acquired 10 grid-connected solar power plants in China totalling 225 MW and a 5% stake in a company that owns 270 MW of solar capacity across eight plants.
