Indian wind power company Suzlon (BOM:532667) said on Friday it will supply turbines to Oil India Ltd (BOM:533106) for two local wind projects with a combined capacity of 52.5 MW.
Under this maiden order from the oil and gas company, Suzlon will deliver 12 of its S97 generators with a 120-metre hybrid tower and 13 units of the S111 with a 90-metre tubular tower. Each of the machines has a rated capacity of 2.1 MW.
The turbines will be installed as part of two projects, one in Madhya Pradesh and one in Gujarat. The two wind farms are expected to be completed by June 2017. Suzlon will be providing asset management services to the plants for an initial period of 10 years, it said.
