January 13 (Renewables Now) - A fund owned by Irish green asset manager NTR Plc has acquired a 19.2-MW wind farm at home for an undisclosed sum.

The purchase of the Ballycumber wind park in County Wicklow expands NTR’s portfolio of wind and assets under management to 515 MW. Those assets are located in Ireland, France, Sweden, Finland and the UK, the Irish firm said in a press release on Thursday.

The Ballycumber wind farm was acquired by the NTR Renewable Energy Income Fund II, while the name of the vendor was not provided. The six-turbine power plant uses Siemens hardware and was brought live in 2019. It operates under the Irish Renewable Energy Feed in Tariff (REFIT) scheme.

“While our investments are diversified across a number of European countries, the Irish market continues to be a core market for NTR [..],” said Manus O‘Donnell, NTR’s chief investment officer.
