June 12 (Renewables Now) - German wind turbine maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) said today it will supply 93.6 MW of turbines for a cluster of two wind projects in Spain.

The order was awarded by Spanish project developer Grupo Enhol, which is building the two wind farms in Navarra province, northern Spain. Under its terms, Nordex will deliver and install 27 units of its AW132/3300 machines, of which 15 will power the Cabanillas wind park and 12 will be used at the Ablitas site near Tudela. The two plants, whose construction began in April, are expected to be switched on in June 2020.

The deal includes a 10-year full-service contract with an option to be extended for 10 more years.

Once completed, the Cabanillas and Ablitas wind parks are seen to produce around 320 GWh of electricity annually. Their entire output will be sold to local energy firm Factorenergia under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA). According to Nordex, this is the PPA with the longest term in Spain so far.
