Nordex to supply 36.8 MW of wind turbines for German projects
Nov 8, 2013 - German wind turbine maker Nordex (ETR:NDX1) said Friday it had been awarded contracts for the supply of 36.8 MW of turbines for three projects in the states of Bavaria and Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
Local wind energy supplier Enertrag has ordered eight N100/2500 moderate-wind turbines for its Ottelin wind project in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. In addition, Nordex will be installing seven N117/2400 machines at the Massbach-Volkershausen and Insingen projects in Bavaria. It did not disclose the name of the other two customers. Installations are scheduled for next summer.
Nordex noted that its N117/2400 turbines are designed for lighter winds.
In late September, the company said it had received its largest single order so far to supply 18 turbines of 2.4 MW each for a 43.2-MW wind farm.
