April 15 (Renewables Now) - Germany’s Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) will supply its turbines for a 29.5-MW wind farm project in Finland.

The manufacturer announced on Thursday it had booked an order from Finnish renewable energy investor and asset manager Low Carbon to send five units of the N163/5.X turbines for the Morknasskogen wind project.

The Nordex machines will be installed at a site located on the west coast of Finland, near the city of Vaasa. Commercial operations are expected to commence in 2023.

The agreement with the customer includes a premium service contract for 30 years, the turbine maker said.

Once online, Morknasskogen will become Low Carbon’s first operational wind farm in Finland, according to Nordex.
