Natixis sees EUR 3.3m operating loss from Soitec in H1 FY 2011/12

Nov 15, 2011 - Natixis expects French silicon-on-insulator wafers maker Soitec (EPA:SOI) to post an operating loss of EUR 3.3 million (USD 4.4m) in the first half of fiscal 2011/12, ending March.
The broker forecasts that the company will deepen its net loss to EUR 8.8 million from EUR 7.4 million a year earlier.
In addition, Natixis will expect comments on the signing of new contracts in the photovoltaic sector and on Soitec's relations with US microprocessors maker AMD (NYSE:AMD), its major customer.
Soitec has already warned it would post a current operating loss for the first half of the fiscal year compared with a profit of EUR 2.5 million a year earlier.
Today, the shares in Soitec had plunged by 5.71% to EUR 3.63 on Euronext Paris at 1052 CET.
