Moser Baer switches on 32.2-MW solar park in Gujarat
Jun 18, 2014 - Technology firm Moser Baer India (BOM:517140) said Tuesday it had put on stream a 32.2-MW solar power facility in the state of Gujarat.
The Charanka photovoltaic (PV) plant was completed in 39 days, the company noted without providing further details. It also said that the park is producing 160,000 to 180,000 kWh per day.
The solar market in India has been given a push in the past years thanks to the launch of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) in January 2010. The programme aims to install 20 GW of solar parks by 2022. The recently-elected government of the country plans to soon expand the mission, President Pranab Mukherjee said in an address to the Houses of Parliament earlier in June.
