Macedonia’s HPP Spilje Beats Output Plan by 5.0%

SKOPJE (Macedonia), November 16 (SeeNews) – Macedonian hydropower plant Spilje has generated 245 million kilowatt hours of electricity so far this year, 5.0% above plan, the country's Economic Chamber said.

HPP Spilje has met 85% of its production plan for the whole year, the chamber said on Tuesday, quoting Mirce Kotevski, spokesman of state-run power producer ELEM that owns the plant.

ELEM runs seven hydro power plants and two thermal plants.

HPP Spilje is located on Crn Drim river in western Macedonia. It was built in 1969.
