LUKERG Renew gets nod to acquire four wind power cos in Bulgaria
SOFIA (Bulgaria), August 21 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria’s anti-trust watchdog said it gave the green light to LUKERG Renew, a joint venture between Italy's ERG Renew and Russia's Lukoil, to buy four Bulgarian wind farm operators in the country’s northeast.
The Commission for Protection of Competition gave its consent for the concentration as it will not lead to creation or strengthening of a dominant position that would significantly impede effective competition in the relevant market, it said in a statement published on its website on Tuesday.
The decision concerns the acquisition of Globo Energy, Mark 1, Mark 2, and UP Bulgaria 4.
Austria-based LUKERG Renew produces and sells electricity through companies that own and operate wind turbine generators on near the Black Sea town of Kavarna. The acquired companies have wind turbine generators in the neighbouring municipality of Balchik
