June 13 (Renewables Now) - Total of 28 solar projects with a combined capacity of 183 MW won Germany’s second solar tender for 2018 with bids ranging from EUR 0.0389 (USD 0.046) per kWh to EUR 0.0496/kWh.

The Federal Network Agency, or Bundesnetzagetur, said today the average volume-weighted price of the winning bids in the tender was EUR 0.0459 per kWh. The auction was heavily oversubscribed, attracting 360 MW of proposals.

The list of winners includes subsidiaries of Enerparc, Energiekontor and EnBW Solar. Almost half of the successful projects, or a total of 90 MW, envisage the construction of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on arable land and grassland in less-favoured areas in Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bavaria.

Germany installed 1.75 GW of solar power capacity in 2017.
