Local body in Spain grants EIS for 44.45-MW PV project in Puertollano

Provincial authorities in central Spain have issued a favourable environmental impact statement (EIS) for the 44.45 MW/49.977 MWp Antilia Solar photovoltaic (PV) project set to be implemented in Ciudad Real.

According to a resolution in the official gazette for the Castile-La Mancha region, project company Antilia Energias Renovables SL is planning to put up 133,272 PV modules in Puertollano, Ciudad Real province.

The proposed PV park will be equipped with Longi Solar LR6-72PH 375MW modules of 375 Wp mounted on solar trackers. Four distinct areas, each with its own network of panels, will form the site spanning around 95 hectares (235 acres), the EIS states.

The developer has four years to launch the project construction, otherwise the EIS will expire, the local authorities said.
