Lamb Energy installs 17.5-kW solar facility at California headquarters
(ADPnews) - Oct 12, 2010 - US green energy solutions firm Lamb Energy installed a 17.5-kW solar power system on the roof of its headquarters in Riverside, California using polycrystalline modules made by Japanese electronics major Sharp Corp (TYO:6753).
The installation, which consists of 81 modules, is to cover 60% of the building's power needs, Sharp said in a statement on Monday. It will save 19.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually, equal to the consumption of over 45 barrels of oil a year.
Lamb Energy saved over USD 44,000 (EUR 31,700) from the installation costs, benefiting from the Riverside Public Utilities USD 3 per watt solar rebate.
