Italian energy company ERG SpA (BIT:ERG) said on Thursday it has commissioned a 24.5-MW wind farm in northern Poland.
Named Piotrkow, the wind park consists of seven N117 turbines, each with a capacity of 3.5 MW, supplied by German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1).
Piotrkow is capable of generating a total of around 76 GWh per year. The wind park also benefits from a 15-year inflation-indexed tariff, starting from the date it commenced operations.
"With the commissioning of the Piotrkow wind farm, we further consolidate our presence in Poland where we reach 106 MW of installed wind capacity, with an additional 36 MW that will be added by the end of the year, due to the advanced construction stage in Laszki," ERG's CEO Paolo Merli said.
