Italy's Bondcom Green Energy Plans to Build 250 Mln Euro Wind Generators in Serbia

BELGRADE (Serbia), August 4 (SeeNews) – Italian firm Bondcom Green Energy plans to invest 250 million euro ($330 million) in the construction of wind generators with a combined capacity of 200 megawatts in Serbia’s town of Boljevac, in the east, a town official said on Wednesday.

The company is completing the legal procedures and is working to meet all the requirements for the investment, the head of the town hall, Goran Adamovic, told SeeNews over the phone.

Bondcom plans to build 40 wind generators, he added. The construction of the wind generators is expected to start in the spring of 2011, and will take about three years to complete. The company will lease the land plot under a 30-year agreement, paying 1.5% of the electricity value generated by the wind park.

The town expects to get about 1.0 million euro a year from the investment, he added.
