December 16 (SeeNews) - Recent media reports that families in Ireland's County Cork have won a High Court case against German wind turbine maker Enercon have been refuted by the Irish Wind Energy Association (IWEA).

A spokesman for IWEA commented for SeeNews Renewables today that: "In relation to this matter it is important to state no family was forced or required to leave their home, there has been no judgement or ruling in the Irish High Court against the developer concerned and no admission of liability has been made in the case."

This is an update to our Dec 12 article (Irish families win court victory over noise from wind turbines - report), citing the Irish Examiner. The original article has been removed from the latter's website.

Enercon Wind Farm Services Ltd was the defendant in the High Court case.
