India's Ujaas Energy wins 10 MWp of solar projects at home

September 10 (SeeNews) - Since the start of the month Indian firm Ujaas Energy Ltd (BOM:533644) has announced engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) orders for 10 MWp of solar capacity at home.

The electrical equipment maker announced last week a Letter of Award from Oil India Ltd (BOM:533106) for a 9-MWp direct current (DC) solar photovoltaic park in Jaisalmer. Apart from EPC, the company will also take on the operation and maintenance (O&M) for 25 years under the INR-880-million (USD 13m/EUR 12m) deal.

This week, Ujaas announced another Letter of Award for an INR-80-million solar job at Andaman & Nicobar Islands. It will design, manufacture, supply, test and commission a 1-MWp rooftop solar system for Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). This deal also includes O&M.

Ujaas Energy was known previously as M&B Switchgears.
