Iberdrola lifts stake in Gamesa after buying 2.9% in two months
(ADPnews) - Dec 10, 2010 - Spanish power utility Iberdrola (MCE:IBE) has raised its shareholding in home wind energy company Gamesa (MCE:GAM) to 17.48% after the acquisition of 2.9% since October 13.
According to data of the national stock market regulator CNMV, the latest transaction was carried out December 7-8. In particular, Iberdrola bought 600,000 Gamesa shares at a price ranging from EUR 5.0 to EUR 5.09 apiece. In other words, the latest operation was estimated at a total EUR 3 million (USD 3.98m).
For the time being, Iberdrola controls 42.96 million shares in Gamesa, worth some EUR 220 million.
