Huadian Power posts 6.3% increase in H1 2012 power output
Jul 16, 2012 - Chinese power producer Huadian Power International Corp (HKG:1071) said Monday it had produced 78.35 million MWh of power in the first six months of 2012, up 6.28% on the year, thanks to increased capacity.
The company's hydropower stations generated 2.4 million MWh, its wind farms -- 640,000 MWh, and its one solar power plant -- 9,000 MWh. The rest came from thermal power plants.
On-grid electricity sold for the first half amounted to 73.17 million MWh, or 6.21% more than a year back.
In a separate statement today, Huadian said it had put on stream its 48-MW Huadian Laizhou wind farm and the 49.5-MW Hebei Huadian Kangbao wind power facility in Shandong and Hebei provinces, respectively.
