May 7 (Renewables Now) - Spanish solar power producer Grupo T-Solar has agreed to buy three operating solar photovoltaic (PV) plants at home with a combined capacity of 5.6 MW.

The company, which is part of global infrastructure investment manager I Squared Capital, will acquire the assets from multiple sellers as part of a strategy to grow its portfolio of clean power generation across South Europe. It pointed out in its announcement that in the last 12 months it has expanded its portfolio by 37%.

The transaction will increase the company’s global portfolio to 392 MW, including 100 MW of recently purchased concentrated solar power (CSP) plants and 292 MW of PV parks.

The three latest additions are located in Badajoz, Seville and Toledo, and, together, are capable of generating more than 11 GWh of electricity a year. The company’s entire portfolio, including the three new assets, can produce about 641 GWh annually.
