Greek wind co Anemos' profit rises by 42.5% in 2016

Greek wind farm operator Eltech Anemos SA (ATH:ANEMOS) boosted its net profit to EUR 10.4 million (USD 11.3m) in 2016 from EUR 7.3 million a year ago, and its installed power capacity grew to 247 MW.

The 39.6-MW Lyrkio Mountain wind farm entered trial operation at end-2016, so the company reached 240.2 MW of wind capacity. It also has one small hydro power plant of 4.95 MW and a 2-MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) farm.

The 2016 results of Eltech Anemos, part of Greek construction group Ellaktor (ATH:ELLAKTOR), are in the table.

Eltech Anemos has 145 MW in implementation stage and 639 MW of projects in the licensing process.
