Greece's Terna Energy posts 32.8% profit rise for Q1 2017

Greek utility Terna Energy (ATH:TENERGY), part of the GEK Terna Group of companies, on Wednesday posted a 32.8% year-on-year rise in first-quarter net profit after minority interest to EUR 9.3 million (USD 10.4m).

The table below gives more details about the company’s financial performance in Q1 2017.

Income from electricity production increased by 17.9% to EUR 46 million.

Terna Energy has a total installed capacity of 786 MW, including 516 MW at home in Greece, 138 MW in the US, 102 MW in Poland and 30 MW in Bulgaria.

The company said it is currently building or is ready to start construction of 194 MW of renewable energy plants in Greece and abroad. It operates, is building or has full licensing of 980 MW of renewable energy projects in Europe and America, it added.

Terna Energy's long-term goal is to have 2,000 MW of renewables.
