Oct 10, 2012 - Chinese Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology's (HKG:2208) ultra-low wind speed series 1.5-MW permanent magnet direct-drive (PMDD) turbine has received an accreditation certificate by Chinese accreditation institution China General Certification Centre (CGC).
The certificate confirms that the GW93/1500 turbine meets the Chinese wind industry accreditation and national safety standard requirements, the wind turbine maker said.
The turbine has a 93-metre (305 ft) rotor diameter, which is the largest in the industry, and the highest output efficiency along with lower cost of energy, compared to other turbine models with the same capacity in China, Goldwind said. The company has installed a prototype of this turbine in the Shandong province in the first half of the year.
Goldwind also offers low wind speed, high altitude, low temperature, high temperature, offshore and intertidal PMDD series turbines.
