Sep 20, 2011 - Chinese wind turbine maker Xinjiang Goldwind Science and Technology Co (SHE:002202)(HKG:2208) is to develop a 109.5-MW wind farm in the US state of Illinois.
Work on the USD-200-million (EUR 147m) Shady Oaks project in Lee County will start later in the autumn.
The agreement was announced yesterday by Illinois governor Pat Quinn, while on a visit to Beijing.
The wind farm will employ a dozen permanent maintenance workers, while the construction phase will generate over 100 jobs.
