Chinese wind turbine maker Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology (HKG:2208) last week reported net profit attributable to shareholders of CNY 691 million (USD 101.9m/EUR 92.9m) for the third quarter of 2016, down 20% from a year ago.
Revenues fell 34% to CNY 6.04 billion. In a presentation on Monday, the company said performance was affected by the high-water season, which delayed quarterly deliveries.
In the first nine months of the year, revenues declined 8.5%, while net profit showed a slight increase of 1.56% to CNY 2.14 billion.
Goldwind said that its order backlog reached a new high of 14,401 MW at the end of September. This includes outstanding orders of 7,678 MW and 6,723 MW of secured bids for projects for which contracts have not yet been signed.
