December 28 (Renewables Now) - London-based renewable energy fund manager Glennmont Partners said Thursday it has agreed to sell to Tages Capital SGR SpA three solar parks in Italy with a combined capacity of 85.4 MW.

With this deal Tages will become one of the leaders in the sector in terms of installed capacity, with roughly 309 MW at 109 assets.

The assets to be sold by Glennmont are the 48-MW Enersol, 13.2-MW Megasol and 24.2-MW Phenix solar photovoltaic (PV) parks. The transaction completes the sale of the third group of assets of the Glennmont Clean Energy Fund I. Previous steps as part of the disinvestment of the fund included the disposal of solar farms in Italy and wind parks in France.

The agreed purchase will conclude the investment programme of Tages Helios, the first solar investment fund of the specialist alternative asset manager, while it also marks the start of investments by Tages Helios II, a new fund launched in July.
