Germany’s PNE Wind Receives Land Use Rights for Wind Farm Project in Bulgaria

SOFIA (Bulgaria), January 14 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian arm of German wind farm developer PNE Wind signed a preliminary land use rights agreement with the Bulgarian municipality of Straldzha for a 54-megawatts (MW) wind farm project in the country, the municipality said.

The wind farm, which will be located near the village of Kamenets, in southeastern Bulgaria, will comprise 30 wind generators and will cover an area of 9.4 hectares, the Straldzha municipality said in a statement.

The municipality did not provide details about the size of the investment.

PNE Wind (www.pnewind.com), which is headquartered in Cuxhaven, has built 96 wind-farms with 548 wind turbines and an installed capacity of 792 MW. It has projects under development in Bulgaria, Hungary, Turkey, Britain, Ireland, Romania and Canada with an installed capacity of up to 1,400 MW, data posted on the company’s website shows.
