Weekly renewables M&A round-up (May 23-27)
May 27, 2022 17:26 CESTApril 28 (Renewables Now) - Germany's Federal Network Agency on Tuesday launched a tender targeting to award 1.125 GW of large-scale solar projects.
The solar auction is open to proposals for ground-mounted plants of over 751 kW and bids will be accepted until June 1. The winning proposals will secure contracts under the "pay-as-bid" model.
The price ceiling for the tender was set at EUR 0.057 (USD 0.060) per kWh, which is slightly above the EUR-0.055 cap of the last round.
In the first auction of this segment with a March 1 deadline, the Federal Network Agency selected 201 proposals with a combined output of 1.084 GW. The volume-weighted average price stood at EUR 0.0519 per kWh.
Germany plans to allocate a total of 3.6 GW of solar capacity for projects of over 751 kW as part of three tenders through 2022.
