German PV System Integrator Phoenix Solar To Build 20 MW Solar Park in Bulgaria in 2010
German photovoltaic system integrator Phoenix Solar has signed a deal to build a 20 megawatt (MW) solar park in Bulgaria next year.
The company signed a project development contract with a Bulgarian subsidiary of German energy, consultancy and healthcare company Krass Capital Group which stipulates the development of a solar park with a peak output of around 20 megawatts by the Bulgarian project developer, Phoenix Solar said in a statement on its website.
"Upon taking over the project companies, Phoenix Solar will carry out turn-key construction of the solar park, be responsible for its operation and maintenance, and sell these project companies to one or more investors," it said. The completion of the solar park is scheduled for 2010.
Phoenix Solar (www.phoenixsolar.com) plans, builds and operates large photovoltaic plants and is a specialist wholesaler for complete power plants, solar modules and accessories. The company expects 520 million euro ($776.2 million) in revenue this year, compared to 402 million euro in 2008. It is headquartered in Germany and has subsidiaries in Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Singapore and Australia.
