SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 28 (SeeNews) - Power giant Gaz de France Suez considers investing 100 million euro ($130.7 million) in the constructiion of biomass power stations in Bulgaria, local media reported on Wednesday.

At a meeting with deputy energy minister Delyan Dobrev last week company officials said GDF Suez will decide whether to proceed with its investment plans only after Bulgaria adopts amendments to its legislation making it clear if the country's power grid has free capacity to accommodate more renewable energy installations, local Capital Daily reported.

Bulgaria's Parliament is expected to vote on the proposed amendments in the beginning of 2012.
