France hits 5.86 GW of cumulative installed PV in Q1 2015

The French General Commission on Sustainable Development (CGDD) unveiled that the country’s installed photovoltaic (PV) capacity reached 5,860 MW at the end of March 2015, after deploying 212 MW in the first quarter.
In comparison, France installed 203 MW in the fourth quarter of 2014 and 195 MW in the same three months of last year. Details on the January-March 2015 capacity additions are available in the table below:

As of the end of the first quarter, the mainland had 5,514 MW of installed PV in total. In the meantime, the French overseas territories hit 346 MW.
The country had 21,967 PV schemes with a combined capacity of 2,080 MW pending approvals at the end of the period under review.
