Italian company Falck Renewables SpA (BIT:FKR) announced on Tuesday that its US partnership with Eni New Energy US Inc has started the commercial operation of 22.5 MW of solar parks.
The plants in question are the North Eagle Village, Green Lakes and Judd Rd photovoltaic (PV), all located in the state of New York. They are held by Novis Renewables LLC.
Each solar park has a capacity of 7.5 MW and is capable of producing around 9 GWh per year, enough to meet the demand of some 860 US households.
The three PV plants will generate revenues under the Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER) programme for their first 25 years. Once this term is over, the assets will earn revenue via merchant sale of energy, capacity and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
The solar parks will also receive cash incentives from two New York State Energy Research and Development Association (NYSERDA) programmes, Falck noted.
