ET Solar concludes work on 4.2-MW Ukraine PV park

Sep 27, 2013 - Chinese solar products maker ET Solar Group Corp said Friday it had finalised the construction of a 4.2-MW solar park in Ukraine together with renewable energy specialist Sunelectra Global.

The Teplodar solar facility is powered by over 17,000 photovotlaic (PV) modules by ET Solar. The company’s German arm ET Solutions AG took care of the engineering, producrement and construction (EPC) part ans will also operate and maintain the power plant.

Just recently the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said it had extended an eight-year loan of EUR 3.9 million (USD 5.3m) to Teplodar PiVi LLC, the Ukrainian company that is in charge of the solar project. An additional EUR 1.5 million are coming from the Clean Technology Fund (CTF) in the form of a 15-year loan.

“The EBRD has already invested over EUR 1.7 billion in sustainable energy projects in Ukraine and it remains committed to the development of the renewable energy sector in this country,” said Sevki Acuner, EBRD country director for Ukraine.
