Eni moves Dogger Bank stake to offshore wind JV with HitecVision
Jun 30, 2022 16:51 CESTBUCHAREST (Romania), July 19 (SeeNews) - E.ON Energie Romania, a unit of German energy utility E.ON, said on Monday that it has built a 351.75 kilowatts peak (kWp) solar power plant worth over 320,000 euro ($378,239) for local poultry producer Agricola International Bacau.
The photovoltaic (PV) plant is expected to generate 470.36 MWh of electricity per year, E.ON Energie Romania said in a press release.
The solar plant featuring 1,050 photovoltaic panels mounted on the ground at Agricola's 4 Lilieci Farm in Bacau will meet around 25% of the farm's annual energy needs and will help cut CO2 emissions by 134 tonnes per year.
"Agricola International aims to increase the share of energy from renewable sources in its final energy consumption in the coming years, through the development and implementation of other solar power generation facilities at its poultry complexes," Agricola Bacau general manager Grigore Horoi said.
Established in 1992, Agricola International Bacau is part of local agribusiness holding group Agricola Bacau.
E.ON Energie Romania is an integrated supplier of gas, electricity and energy solutions.
