German renewables developer and operator Energiekontor AG (ETR:EKT) said today it has offloaded a 3.6-MW single-turbine wind project in the state of Bremen to Austrian power producer Oekostrom AG.
Financial details about the divestment were kept under wraps.
The Bultensee wind farm is currently being installed at a site on the eastern border with Lower Saxony state. The plant will use a single turbine by Germany’s Nordex that is expected to produce more than 7.5 GWh of electricity per year. The expected annual output will be enough to cover the consumption of around 2,500 averages German homes, Energiekontor estimates.
The power plant is scheduled to begin operations in the summer of 2023. Once online, Energiekontor will take care of its commercial and technical management.
“With the purchase of the Bultensee wind turbine, we are taking a further step towards a renewable, independent energy future and ensuring that even more people can obtain clean electricity from 100% renewables,” said Ulrich Streibl, management spokesperson of Oekostrom.
At end-August, Energiekontor sold a 11.4-MW wind project in Hesse to Hamburg-based investment manager MPC Capital AG (ETR:MPCK).
