Energia Renewables switches on 9.2-MW Irish wind farm - report
Aug 23, 2012 - Irish power plant operator Energia Renewables, part of Viridian Group Plc, on Wednesday put on stream its 9.2-MW Caherdowney wind farm in County Cork, the Irish Examiner reported on Thursday.
At full capacity, the facility is able to generate enough power to meet the needs of as many as 9,200 homes. The project, which is worth EUR 14 million (USD 18m), consists of four Enercon E70 turbines.
The plant is owned by Energia Renewables and the Irish Infrastructure Fund, which in June acquired a stake in the company's wind farm portfolio.
