Enel Green grows H1 net profit by 16.7% y/y

July 30 (SeeNews) - Enel Green Power SpA (BIT:EGPW) said on Wednesday its group net profit has increased by 16.7% year-on-year to EUR 342 million (USD 374.9m) in the first six months of 2015 thanks to a 13% rise in revenues.

The Italian renewable power plants developer and operator saw its earnings before interest and tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) go up by 20.6% to EUR 1.08 billion, with the rises coming mainly from Latin America and North America. The result takes into account exchange rate gains of EUR 62 million.

Total revenues climbed by EUR 183 million to EUR 1.59 billion as “other revenues” jumped by EUR 174 million.

The company’s net installed capacity as at the end of the first half amounted to 9.9 GW. Its power plants produced 17.2 TWh of electricity during the period, up by 4.2%.

Enel Green, part of Italian utility Enel (BIT:ENEL), operates hydro, wind, solar, biomass, geothermal and cogeneration power plants globally.
