EDPR's renewable production grows 3% y/y in 2018

January 30 (Renewables Now) - EDP Renovaveis SA's (ELI:EDPR) total renewable power generation in 2018 grew by 3% year-on-year to 28.4 TWh.

The most significant increase in annual terms was achieved in Brazil, where the company's output rose by 43% to 1,235 GWh. This was due to an increase in operational capacity. The US remained EDPR's top market in terms of productivity with 14,873 GWh.

EDPR's output in Europe as a whole decreased 2% to 11,480 GWh, while in North America the company recorded a 4% rise to 15,644 GWh.

At the end of December, EDPR had 674 MW of wind power capacity under construction in the US, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal and UK. It manages 11.7 GW of renewable power capacity in 11 countries, the firm noted.
