The output of EDP Renovaveis SA's (ELI:EDPR) renewable power plants for the first quarter of 2020 has decreased by 8% year-on-year to 7.8 TWh as it reduced its portfolio in Europe and Brazil.
According to data released on Wednesday, the company's overall generation went down in almost all of its main markets, with the exception of North America. In the US it increased by 6% and in North America as a whole the growth was of 5%. This was due to new capacity in operation along with a stable wind resource, EDP said.
Further details on EDPR's global generation, in GWh, are available in the table below.
Rest of Europe
At the end of March, EDPR managed a total renewables operational portfolio of 11.2 GW and had 1.3 GW of capacity under construction.
