EDPR's renewable output grows 9% in H1 2017

The renewable energy output of EDP Renovaveis SA's (ELI:EDPR) power plants in the first half of 2017 grew 9% year-on-year to 14.5 TWh.

Data released by the company on Tuesday showed Brazil witnessed the most significant increase year-on-year, with EDPR's generation there rising by 53% to 314 GWh. Production in Europe was 6 TWh, down 5% due to the exceptional wind generation in 2016.

At the end of June, EDPR had 633 MW under construction in the US, Brazil and France. It manages 10.4 GW of renewables in 11 countries.
