EDPR's 9mo renewable power generation up 14% y/y

EDP Renovaveis SA's (ELI:EDPR) total renewable power generation in the first nine months of 2022 has increased by 14% year-on-year to 24.4 TWh.

According to a report released by the company on Thursday, the growth came because of higher installed capacity with better or stable renewable resources.

Among the firm's markets, the most notable increase was registered in Brazil, where EDPR's generation was up by 58% to 1,901 GWh despite lower renewable resources.

As of September 2022, EDPR managed a total renewables portfolio of 14.3 GW, with Europe and North America accounting for 38% and 49%, respectively. The firm noted it currently has 4.3 GW of new capacity under construction.
