October 17 (Renewables Now) - EDP Renovaveis SA's (ELI:EDPR) total renewable power generation in the first nine months of 2018 grew by 4% year-on-year to 20.7 TWh.

The most significant increase was achieved in Brazil, where the company's generation rose by 48% to 836 GWh, due to capacity additions.

Production in Europe was down 3% to 8.26 TWh due to a decrease in wind generation. EDPR's output in North America, on the other hand, increased 8% to 11 TWh.

More details on global generation, in GWh, are available in the table.
