BUCHAREST (Romania), November 25 (SeeNews) - International independent producer of utility-scale renewable energy projects Ecoenergy has acquired an 87 MWp solar power development project in Parau, central Romania, deal advisor Vlasceanu, Nyerges and Partners said.
Construction activities for the project will start in the first half of 2022, the law firm said in a press release on Wednesday.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
Along with the deal for the 153 MW Ratesti project, which was closed less than three weeks ago, the closing of the Parau project supports Econergy’s target of 1.5 GW for Romania.
"It’s been a complex negotiation with a reputable developer. The main legal challenge came from the historical evolution of the project (originated under the first RES projects wave)," Daniel Vlasceanu, managing partner of Vlasceanu, Nyerges & Partners, noted.
Earlier this month, Czech real estate developer Portland Trust completed the sale of a solar park project under development in Ratesti, Arges county to Econergy and Nofar Energy. The solar plant has an authorized production capacity of over 153 MW.
