EBRD to back Novoazovskyi Wind Park's 32.5-MW project

Sep 20, 2012 - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has agreed to lend up to EUR 48.8 million (USD 63.4m) to Ukrainian firm Novoazovskyi Wind Park for a 32.5-MW project, Ukrainian News said yesterday.

The company will use the funds for the installation and commissioning of wind turbines with a total capacity of 32.5 MW at an existing wind power plant in the Donetsk region, eastern Ukraine. The first 25 MW of wind turbines at the plant were commissioned in July 2011.

The EBRD will lend up to EUR 33.3 million directly and up to EUR 15.5 million through the Clean Technology Fund.

A representative of the lender's Kiev office told Ukrainian News that the decision was made by the EBRD's board of directors on Tuesday.
