Danish Greentech Energy output rises 25% Y/Y in Sep 2011
Oct 18, 2011 - Danish wind and solar farm manager Greentech Energy Systems A/S (CPH:GES) said today its overall production grew 25% year-on-year to 20.9 GWh in September 2011.
Wind conditions for the farms in Denmark and Poland were positive and above the normal, the company said. Conditions for the German projects were in line with expectations, while the Italian turbines performed significantly below the normal, the company stated.
Solar conditions exceeded expectations in both Italy and Spain. In Italy, the installed capacity has been largely increased during 2011 which caused a major growth in production compared to 2010. However, the production from two solar plants in September suffered due to extraordinary events, Greentech Energy said.
Output in Poland and Denmark fell 23% on the year to 239.2 MWh and 1% to 2.1 GWh, respectively. At the same time, wind production in Italy and Germany increased 3% to 8.7 GWh and 2% to 3.1 GWh, respectively.
Overall production year-to-date surged 63% in annual terms to 195.74 GWh.
